The French of England: Vernacular Literary Theory and Practice

A single volume dedicated to showcasing the range and significance of this literature and its interrelations with medieval English and other languages of medieval Britain. It will consist of newly edited original-language prologues, epilogues, and other extracts, with accompanying modern and in some cases Middle English translations, from approximately seventy works in the French of England.
