Internships Offer Valuable Lessons for the Future
by Jennifer Spencer
Internships are a valuable part of college students’ career development process today. But how do students find the best internships? How do they get the most out of the opportunity? How can the lessons from these early work experiences help them discover more about careers they might want to pursue after graduation? Fordham’s Career Services office not only helps students prepare for, find, and secure internships, it helps them make the most out of the experience—through large-scale events like career fairs and the more personal approach of one-to-one counseling.
On January 29, 2014, Fordham University will hold its Second Annual Lincoln Center Career and Internship Fair: Arts, Media, and Service from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Lincoln Center campus. This is an invite-only event focusing on organizations in the arts, media, and service fields, offering part-time, full-time, and internship opportunities. If you are interested in how your organization can participate in Fordham's Career and Internship Fairs, please contact Kathlene Lewis, associate director of employer relations, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
