Make a Gift Now

Current-use scholarships have an immediate and profound impact on students. They allow us to reduce student debt and relieve pressure to raise tuition.

Fordham Fund Scholarships
Gifts of any amount will put a Fordham education within reach for a deserving undergraduate student. Donors of $1,000 or more automatically become members of the President’s Club. Donors of $5,000 or more per year to a Fordham Fund Scholarship are invited to the annual scholarship donor reception and have an opportunity to meet and correspond with selected students whose educations have been made possible by your support.

Named Current Use Scholarship Funds:
For pledges of $50,000 or more, payable over a four-year period, donors can name a current-use scholarship fund that meets a substantial portion of a student’s need. The fund may carry the name of the donor,a loved one’s name, or even  to honor a reunion class. For their generosity, donors will receive an update on their scholarship recipient each year and will be invited to meet them at the annual scholarship reception.

Endowed Scholarships Extend the Gift of Learning to Future Generations
Endowed scholarship funds are invested to generate a permanent stream of annual scholarship grants. Typically 4 to 5 percent of the funds’ market value is spent each year. Excess earnings or capital gains are reinvested in the fund to ensure that the scholarship’s value keeps pace with inflation over time. Donors may express a preference for students enrolled in a specific school or study abroad program, for student athletes, or where the need is greatest.

Endowed scholarship donors receive an update on their scholarship recipients each year and are invited to the annual scholarship reception to meet selected scholarship recipients.
