The Lenten Triodion
The Lenten Triodion was first presented on the net by Michael Vezie on Monday, 1st week in Lent, 1995. The texts are due to the industry, dedication and generosity of The Community of the Holy Myrrbearers and the superior of the community, who can be contacted at MRaphaela@aol.com . According to Mr. Vezie, Mother Raphaela gave her blessing for distribution of the texts here for personal and church use, but not for any kind of commercial use. See the basic Information File for more on the sources.
The bare ascii texts are also available via ftp, from FTP.EARLHAM.EDU, in the DOS directory, as TRIODION.ZIP, and TRIODION.EXE
Mr. Vezie presented the texts in bare text format, and in multiple files. He also commented that he "felt that the task of converting all this to html would be a longer task than it is worth". It is certainly a pretty big task. The advent of easier htmling via Word Internet Assistant, has made this a somewhat easier task than a year ago, but there is a great deal to do. The texts are presented here still in text format, but with links that should work in all browsers [the version by Mr. Vezie would not work in Netscape]. They will be converted to html one by one. If you want to help, please contact me.
This text is presented as part of the Internet Medieval Source Book. The Sourcebook is a collection of public domain and copy-permitted texts related to medieval and Byzantine history.
