St. Thomas: Exterior
The Facade
The exterior of the church is a prime example of Gothic architecture. Before entering
the church, one cannot help but notice the enormous rose window. The window is flamboyant
gothic in design, and is twenty-five feet in diameter.
The Doors
The entrance has seven figures outside of the doors. The three on the left side are of
St. Peter, St. Andrew, and St. James the Greater. The three on the right side are of St.
John the Evangelist, St. Philip, and St. Paul. The most prominent figure, St. Thomas, is
displayed between the doors.
