Jesuit Universities Humanitarian Action Network (JUHAN)

______________________________________________

About JUHAN

The Institute of International Humanitarian Affairs (IIHA) and Fordham University initiated a network to coordinate the coursework and training programs on humanitarian aid work with all Jesuit Universities in the US. The Jesuit Universities Humanitarian Action Network (JUHAN) was created on this premise of exchanging ideas, resources, and increasing the effectiveness of individual efforts among all Jesuit Universities' responses to world humanitarian crises.

Taking the first step towards this initiative, JUHAN has organized a National Workshop, Engaging Students in Humanitarian Action, to be held at Fordham University, New York, from Friday, June 20th through Sunday, June 22nd, 2008. Approximately 10 undergraduate students from each Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU) institution will have an opportunity to participate in this workshop and develop their skills and understanding on humanitarian aid work.
