- The world’s first major conference on
landmines.

impressions of the global landmine tragedy.

Health, Human Rights and Humanitarian Assistance in Conflicts and
Disasters - The first health oriented
program in concert with The Council on Foreign Relations which explored
how global cooperation on health issues can open doors to political
negotiation.

- A joint program with the United Nation
which linked the well-defined methodology of public health with the more
fluid approaches of diplomacy.

and what efforts have been made in response to the challenges.
