Academic Computing Intern

Department: Cloud Agile Systems Management and Instructional Technology/Academic Computing (These groups support the Academic Computing Environment (ACE). ACE is a digital space for faculty to conduct research and experiment with innovative technology projects.)

Position: Academic Computing Intern

Supervisor: Head of Cloud and Agile Systems Management and Technical Manager-Academic Computing

Qualifications

• Must have 15-19 hours of the week available
• Must be a full-time Fordham undergraduate student in good academic standing
• Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Testing on various web, digital humanities and software systems
• Research and implement new technology
• Communicate with university personnel regarding ACE environment
• Develop scripts to manager ACE environment

Technical Knowledge

• Competent with Windows Office and Google Applications
• Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux based operating systems
• Knowledge of Java, Google Script, Bash, Powershell
• Knowledge of WordPress frontend

Compensation: $18.00 per hour
