New Media/Participatory Media

Students concentrating in new media/participatory media will learn about the role and impact of digital media on society, and learn how social forces have impacted the development of new technologies. This concentration asks students to consider the theories operating behind digital culture, as well as participate in the creation of digital content.

In addition to the major requirements, students with a new media/participatory media concentration are required to take COMM 2500 and two additional courses in the concentration.
