Hi - I'm Ken Brady, 2LE, and am looking forward to serving as your SBA Evening Division-VP this 2015-2016 school year.
I'm originally from Monmouth County, New Jersey and graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2004 (English and History Majors, Nuclear Engineering Minor). After graduation I was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Military Intelligence Corps of the United States Army, and later became and US Army Civil Affairs Officer in 2009) . I have been stationed in Arizona, Maryland, Missouri, and North Carolina, and deployed to Northern Iraq from 2010-2011 as part of Operation New Dawn. I actually really enjoyed my deployment, during which I led a team responsible for Humanitarian Assistance and Infrastructure Development supporting the Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force-Arabian Peninsula in Kurdistan and Northern Iraq.
Soon after my deployment I left active duty in 2012, and currently serve as a Major in the US Army Reserve leading a small Joint Human Intelligence (HUMINT) Team based out of Ft. Dix, NJ. I also began work at JP Morgan Chase in 2012 in their Global Financial Crimes Compliance Corporate Division - the first three years of my civilian career were spent in Anti-Money Laundering Compliance, and I am excited to have recently transitioned into the Sanctions and Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) Compliance Team, supporting the Corporate & Investment Bank at JP Morgan. I have enjoyed my year so far at Fordham Law and look forward to graduating (in 33 months...) and continuing to work in the Global Financial Services & Compliance fields. I live down the Jersey Shore (Spring Lake) and when I'm not at JP Morgan, Fordham, or Ft. Dix, I enjoying hanging out with my wife Maya and two kids (Stella, age 4, and Rob, age 2) down at the beach or in my backyard.
As your SBA Evening Division VP my goal is to bridge the gap between the "Daywalkers" and the "Nightcrawlers," and to help eliminate the perception that there are two separate Law Schools at Fordham. I ran on a 'Diversity' based platform - and by diversity, I mean switching up the menu from the Evening Division Pizza Nights to possibly integrating FroYo or a 'Taco Tuesday' - but in all seriousness, I hope to serve as the link between all Law School Students (Night and Day Division) with the Fordham Law Administration to represent your concerns, opinions, and grievances.
Please reach out to me any time if you have any questions or something to say (email@example.com) and look forward to meeting you during our time at Fordham Law!
