The Executive Board is elected by the student body every spring and consists of the President, Vice President, Vice President - Evening, Secretary and Treasurer. Senators are appointed to oversee committees such as admissions, community service, career planning and social events. Each fall, 1L section reps are elected by each first-year section. They meet with the Executive Board as advocates for the concerns of 1L students and organize educational, social, and community service events for their individual sections.

Steven W. Shuldman '15 (President)

FLS SBA Steven Schuldman 240x240 SMHi everyone! I am honored to be serving as your SBA President this academic year. Fordham is at a pivotal time in its history--with a new building and the ongoing search for a Law School Dean, the student body is uniquely positioned to make our mark on Fordham for years to come.

I graduated from Lehigh University in 2010 with a BS in Accounting. I worked for two years in the city at Deloitte LLP, one of the "Big 4" accounting firms. I decided the law was a bit more my style, and so I started at Fordham in 2012. My 1L summer, I interned at the Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, DC and as a 2L, I interned at the U.S. Attorney's Office, Southern District of New York. This summer, I am working downtown at WilmerHale.

Kathleen O'Hare '15 (Vice President)

My name is Katie O’Hare and I am a third-year law student from Harrison, NY. I am an active member of the Fordham community serving as a Notes and Articles Editor for the International Law Journal and board member for various PIRC and SBA groups. I love Fordham and I look forward to doing everything I can to make your year productive and fun!! Please feel free to reach out if you ever have any questions, suggestions, or concerns!

Joshua Demopoulos '17 (Vice President, Evening)

FLS Josh DemopoulusEvening students (including evening division alumni/ae and day students who take or have taken classes in the evenings): please join the Fordham Law Evening Students Association (FLESA) Facebook group!

It has been a busy year, Fordham Law evening students. I fought hard for you, and, working together with the rest of the SBA and key players in FLS admin, succeeded at implementing the following (non-party-related) initiatives:

  1. Nutrition
    1. Extended dining hours on the second floor and sixth floor.
      1. Schmeltzer Dining Hall (Second Floor): Open till 6:30 p.m. Mon.–Thurs.
      2. Cronin Café ft. Jazzman's (Sixth Floor): Open till 10:00 p.m. Mon.–Thurs.
      3. Sixteen hours per week were added to the schedule.
    2. Food and beverage vending machines on both the third and fourth floors.
      1. Healthy drinks (e.g., Naked juices) and other "real" foods (e.g., sandwiches) are available on the third floor.
  2. Library
    1. Restricted library access during the reading and finals periods.
      1. Our successful push for a full-time security guard after-hours during this period ensures uninterrupted, 24/7 access to the library.
    2. Sensible code-of-conduct policies, including same-day room reservations.
    3. A loaner charger program. Library patrons can go to the circulation desk and check out USB and wall chargers of all types (iOS (e.g., 30-pin, Lightning); Android (e.g., micro-USB); PC/Mac/Etc.).

There are other initiatives in progress, too. We got approval to install student representatives on faculty committees, which is something that will roll out in a big way beginning next school year after a pilot program concludes this semester. We are working closely with FLS admin to ensure that new academic options to be implemented in coming semesters make the fullest possible array of course (and clinic) offerings available in the evenings. And in matters related to technology at Fordham such as PCs, printing, and cell signal on -1, we have made sure the SBA has led the way in developing solutions that serve our community well.

Go to the FLESA Facebook group to help shape what's next.

Kimberly Greer '16 (Secretary)

Hi, everyone! My name is Kimberly Greer and I am a 2L this 2014-2015 school year. I am so excited for the opportunity to serve as your SBA Secretary!

A bit about me: I graduated from Northwestern University in June 2012 with a BA in Journalism and Legal Studies. I loved the time I spent in the Windy City but was eager to return to New York, my home state! I spent the following year as a special education teacher, where I was given a first-hand glimpse into the current state of our education system. That glimpse was enough to confirm my desire to work in education law and policy, where I believe I can make a greater difference for my students. I have come to Fordham passionate about special education reform, and look forward to taking advantage of the many opportunities Fordham offers in this field.

As SBA Secretary, I am here to serve as a spokeswoman for any and all of your needs. I plan to work closely with the rest of the SBA executive board, as well as the Fordham faculty to ensure a smooth and satisfying school year. Look out for social events as well as alumni networking opportunities in the upcoming year. I will be hosting office hours for all to come with any questions or concerns they may have. Approach me in the hallway, talk to me in between classes, or send me an e-mail, I am here to make your year the best it can possibly be and am open to all suggestions!

Christina Kim '16 (Treasurer)

Hello everyone! My name is Christina Min Sun Kim and I will be a 2L this 2014-2015 school year. I was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, and moved to the United States when I was 12 years old. I graduated from Boston College in 2011, then worked for a mid-sized law firm in downtown Boston that specialized in toxic tort litigation for two years. I moved back to New York in fall of 2013 to attend Fordham Law, and have really enjoyed getting to know New York City.

I was lucky enough to serve as a class representative during my 1L year, and I am excited to continue serving the Fordham community as a treasurer this upcoming fall. Please feel free to contact me for anything at any time, I am here to serve!
