Adjunct Professor of Law
Angie Byun is the Senior Director of Business Affairs and International Licensing in the Editorial Assets and Rights group at Condé Nast. In this role, she oversees the business affairs and negotiations for the company’s IP licensing and business development matters, as well as the management and expansion of the international editions of Golf Digest, Women’s Wear Daily (WWD) and Style.com. Golf Digest is the #1 distributed sports publication worldwide with 27 editions in 67 countries, 24 websites and 5 tablet editions.
Under Angie’s leadership, she centralized the management of the business affairs role within the company, as well as secured global advertising buys across multiple international editions. In 2012, she was instrumental in launching Style.com Arabia -- the first fashion title for Condé Nast in the Middle East. From 2004-2006, Angie worked as licensing counsel at Jones Apparel Group, and prior to that, she was an attorney at Paul Weiss.
Under the Clinton administration, Angie was a law clerk in the Office of the Chief of Staff at the White House, as well as intern in the Office of Cabinet Affairs. She currently serves as the Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Asian American Study Foundation for the State of New Jersey. She has also participated as a guest lecturer at Columbia Law School's Fashion Panel and Fordham Law School's Fashion Institute.
Angela holds a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School and B.A. in Political Science and History from the University of California at Berkeley. She has also studied at Oxford University. She currently resides in Closter, NJ with her husband and son.
