Areas of Expertise: Fundamental Lawyering Skills, Trial Advocacy

Molly Gallivan is a supervising attorney at Brooklyn Defender Services. She has practiced criminal defense in Brooklyn since 2001, first with the Legal Aid Society Criminal Defense Division and then in private practice. During her time in private practice, she was also a member of the Assigned Counsel Plan. Over the years, Molly has tried numerous misdemeanor and felony jury trials. During the spring of 2016, Molly taught the Criminal Defense Clinic at Fordham University School of Law as a Visiting Clinical Associate Professor. In addition to teaching Fundamental Lawyering Skills, Molly is active in Fordham’s Trial Advocacy Program.

Molly is a cum laude graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where she received a BA in English and Sociology in 1997. In 2001, Molly received her JD from Fordham University School of Law, where she excelled on both the Moot Court and Trial Advocacy competition teams and participated in the Criminal Defense Clinic.
