Math and Statistics Review is not a formal course, but simply a
web page with review materials that new incoming IPED students can access
from throughout the world. Since this material is copyrighted, you must
use a password. Refer to your letter from Dr. Schwalbenberg concerning
orientation and registration for the password. Remember that the password
must be CAPITALIZED.
To read any of the files below you must also have a PDF reader installed
on your computer. If you do not have a PDF reader, you can download a free

When downloading these files, please make sure that you have either
a good connection or patience. The size of these files range from 0.6 meg
to 2.4 meg.
Basic Algebra and Geometry
All incoming IPED students are expected to know algebra and geometry at
the US High School level. A short review of this material is contained
in chapters 1 and 2 of Edward T. Dowling, Mathematics for Economists,
Schuam Outline Series, McGraw-Hill Book Company.
Elementary Statistics
While no previous training in statistics is required, incoming IPED students
who wish to be better prepared for their quantitative analysis course may
wish to review the materials in chapters 1, 2, and 3 of Dominick Salvatore,
Statistics
and Econometrics, Schuam Outline Series, McGraw-Hill Book Company.
