Washington, DC Career Trip - April 20, 2007

Lunch at the Elephant and Castle
US Department of Commerce

In addition to our Fall DC Career Trip, our UN Career Trip, and our Alumni Networking Nite, we also held a Spring Career Trip to Washington, D.C.  In the Fall we had visited the US Foreign Agricultural Service and the International Monetary Fund.  So this time we visited the US Agency for International Development in the morning to learn about their Junior Foreign Service Officer Program.  And after lunch at the Elephant and Castle we proceeded to the Commerce Department where we visited the US International Trade Administration and learned about various careers including the US Foreign Commercial Service.

On the same day it so happend that one of our graduating students, Angel, was also being sworn in as a US Foreign Service Officer at the State Department.

We thank our Washington, DC Alumni (Christina, Connie, Israly, and Shane) for their generous support of our trip.
