Meet Amaya, a study abroad student in London
Hi everyone! My name is Amaya, and I’ll be studying abroad with Fordham London for the Fall 2025 semester. I’m a rising senior at Loyola Marymount University, majoring in Marketing. I chose this program because of its amazing location, and I think it offers the perfect balance between learning and adventure. London seems like such an exciting city with so much to explore, and I’m really looking forward to stepping out of my comfort zone, immersing myself in a new environment, and making lifelong memories. I also love to travel, so being based in London gives me the opportunity to visit nearby countries during my free time, which I’m especially excited about!

Meet Austin, a study abroad student in Jordan
Hello! My name is Austin Majer, and I’m a rising junior studying political science at FCLC. I’ll be spending this fall in Amman, Jordan as a part of SIT’s Geopolitics, International Relations, and the Future of the Middle East program. I chose this program because of Jordan’s unique role as an international mediator in regional disputes. It offers the chance to engage directly with people and policies shaping the Middle East today through diplomatic and humanitarian fieldwork. I’m especially excited for the program’s organized group excursions, such as meeting with Turkish diplomats in Istanbul, swimming in the Dead Sea, and exploring the landscapes of Wadi Rum and Petra.

Meet Cameron, a study abroad student in Seoul!
Hi! I’m Cameron, a junior majoring in Political Science, and I’ll be spending the semester studying abroad in South Korea through Fordham’s exchange program with Sogang University in Seoul. I’d say 80% if this decision was based on eating Korean food, and the rest was the opportunity to spend an extended period of time in Eastern Asia and immerse myself in a culture so different from what I’ve experienced before. Korea specifically stood out to me because they put so many cool things out into the world recently, so I was very intrigued.

Meet Christina, a study abroad student in Sydney!
Hi, I’m Christina! I’m studying abroad in Sydney, Australia, through the Fordham Partner/Boston University Sydney Internship Program. I’m a junior majoring in Journalism, and I’m excited to gain international experience, build my portfolio, and learn how journalism works in a new cultural setting. I chose this program because it combines academic learning with a professional internship, giving me the chance to grow both as a student and an aspiring journalist. I’m also really looking forward to everyday life in Sydney, including exploring the city, experiencing the culture, and getting a sense of what it might be like to build a future here.

I’m excited to share my experiences with you all!

Meet Elena, a Study Abroad student in Brazil!
Hi! My name is Elena, and I’m a rising junior at Fordham College at Lincoln Center, double majoring in International Studies and Humanitarian Studies. This fall, I’ll be studying abroad in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, through Fordham’s exchange program with the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. I’m especially excited to improve my Portuguese, experience life by the beach, and immerse myself in Brazilian culture. I chose this program because I’ve always dreamed of visiting Brazil and studying in Latin America. As a Spanish speaker, I wanted to challenge myself by learning a new language while deepening my understanding of a region that’s both culturally rich and geopolitically significant.

Meet Ellyse, a Study Abroad Student in Manila!
Hi! My name’s Ellyse and I’m studying abroad in Manila, the Philippines through Fordham’s exchange program. I’m a rising junior studying political science with a minor in philosophy, and I’m super excited to begin this journey! I’m looking forward to exploring the many islands in the Philippines and immersing myself into Filipino culture. I chose this program because my dad immigrated from the Philippines, and I have not yet had the chance to visit, so I thought it would be a unique opportunity to truly explore the country and surrounding Asian countries.

Meet Lydia, a study abroad student in Lisbon!

This fall, I will be studying abroad in Lisbon, Portugal through the CIEE program and I couldn’t be more excited! I am especially looking forward to immersing myself in the Portuguese culture and meeting new people from around the world. Choosing Lisbon Portugal was an easy decision for me–it offers great weather year-round, close access to beaches like Cascais and Costa da Caparica, amazing seafood, unique pastries, and scenic hilltop views. I can't wait to experience all Portugal has to offer!

Meet Dakota, a study abroad student in London
Hey guys my name is Dakota Strain and I am studying abroad in London through the Fordham Summer Abroad Program! I’m currently between my sophomore and junior year at Fordham, majoring in Finance with a concentration in Alternative Investments. This will be my first time traveling outside the United States, so I’m very excited to experience a completely new culture. I’m especially looking forward to experiencing London’s art scene and the green spaces in and around London. I chose the summer program because, as a student-athlete on the track and field team, the summer is the only time I can study abroad without missing practice or meets. London has always been a dream destination for me.
