In general, the Law Library is open to the following categories of persons:
  • All Fordham students, faculty, and staff with current ID cards;
  • Fordham alumni with current Alumni Association cards or with student ID cards no more than one year out of date;
  • current students and faculty of  LINES Consortium Law Schools: Columbia,  NYU, Penn and Yale;
  • persons wishing to use Federal Depository documents;
  • persons holding valid Law Library passes

Students and faculty of RLG Shares member institutions will be given a pass upon proof of their current affiliation.

All other persons will be admitted solely at the discretion of the Law Librarian or the Reference Librarian on duty; such persons must register and be issued a library pass. Passes for non-Fordham affiliated persons are issued for limited time periods only, and are generally restricted to academic researchers.

In general, current law students from other schools will be granted a short-term pass   upon presentation of a letter of introduction from their law school library.

Please note that  non-Fordham users are not admitted for study access during exam periods.
