Senior luncheon at st. brendan's
By getting involved with St. Brendan’s Senior Luncheon, students can form relationships with those in a faith community outside of Fordham. Volunteers help with the lunch’s set up, serving, and clean up, and also get a chance to know the senior citizens of St. Brendan’s. Program members commit to volunteering for a couple of Saturdays a month, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. St. Brendan’s is located on East 206th Street, just a twenty-minute walk from Fordham’s Rose Hill campus.

ESL at st. rita's immigration center
Members of the Pedro Arrupe Community who would like to volunteer at St. Rita’s commit to helping out once a week for a two hour “English as a Second Language Class (ESL).” This includes helping as a teaching assistant, usually doing basic vocabulary drills or conversational practice with students in the class. All students are invited to volunteer; it is not necessary to know another language besides English. St. Rita’s Immigration Center is located on Andrews Ave. right off Fordham Road (three stops down on the BX12 bus).

Creston Baptist Church Lunches
Students help serve lunches on Saturdays at the Creston Baptist Church, located off Fordham Road. It is a wonderful opportunity to join the faith community as we work together in prayer and service.
