"Given the opportunity to live and work with the Navajo people, I was exposed to the profound way in which they value the earth's resources. Honor and respect for the earth and all it provides has been second nature to Navajo culture for thousands of years. In two weeks, I witnessed this mindfulness, and the native people who truly live it, make a dramatic impact on the lives of thirteen Fordham students who will forever retain these lasting friendships and an unforgettable awareness of themselves, each other, and our earth." -Anna Gildea, FCRH '13
