Mission and Ministry
What makes Fordham special? Its faculty and students? Its attention to individuals? Its international reputation and network? Its situation here in New York at the world’s crossroads? Actually, ALL of the above. But what holds all these rich resources together is Fordham’s mission and ministry which deeply influences all that goes on both inside and outside the classroom as an all-encompassing learning experience and value-laden education. Complementing the work of other university departments is the ministry of our three main offices: Campus Ministry, Dorothy Day Center for Service and Justice and Global Outreach. Often called “the heart and soul” of Fordham, these three offices are bound to touch the lives of students here at Fordham, during their college careers and long after. Come and see!
