General Information

VENUE 
The conference venue is the Leon Lowenstein Building in the Fordham University Lincoln Center Campus, located at 113 West 60th Street (bounded by West 60th and West 62nd Streets, Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues). Fordham can be reached by
subway (A, B, C, D, 1 and 9 to 59th Street at Columbus Circle), and by city bus (M5, M7, M11, M104). Enter the campus at the corner of Columbus and 60th Street; the registration desk will be on the left side of this entrance, just inside the doors.  The Pope Auditorium (site of the Plenary sessions) is right past the Security Desk, on the right side. To get to the Plaza Level (location of coffee breaks, receptions, the Book Exhibit, and elevators to the other floors), take the escalator up one level.  Note that elevators 5 and 6 go to the 12th floor; the other elevators go to the 11th floor from where you will have to walk one flight up to reach the 12th floor.

PARKING 
Reduced-rate parking is available at Preor Parking (212-245-9594) at 40-50 West 61st Street, between Columbus Avenue and Broadway; the rate is $12 for 12 hours. A similar rate is available at Central Parking/Kenny Systems at 345 West 58th Street, between Columbus Avenue and Broadway (212-582-7110). Parking is also available at Allie Parking at 425 West 59th Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues at the rate of $9 for 12 hours (212-246-7220). To receive these reduced rates, you must validate your parking ticket at the Front Security Desk at the entrance to Fordham University at 113 W. 60th Street.

SECURITY AND I.D.

There are security guards posted at all entrances to the Fordham campus and only those with a valid registration I.D. badge will be allowed entry to the conference venue. Spouses/partners/family/friends who will be accompanying registrants to the receptions need to register as an Accompanying Person to receive an I.D. badge that allows them admission to the campus.  I.D. badges will be available at the conference registration desk. 

REGISTRATION HOURS

We encourage you to register early to receive the discounted registration rates.  Pre-registrants will be able to pick up their conference folders and I.D. badges at the main registration desk at the following times: Thursday, July 27, 2006: 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Friday, July 28: 8:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.; Saturday, July 29, 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.; Sunday, July 30: 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.; Monday, July 31, 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.  New registrations can also be made anytime during these hours. Registration rates remain the same regardless of how many days of the conference that you attend. 

BOOK EXHIBIT

A publishers' display will be open in the South Lounge (Plaza Level, just off the Cafeteria) on Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Saturday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Sunday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., and Monday, 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
