Travel and Hotel Information

The conference venue is the 12th Floor Faculty Lounge of the Leon Lowenstein Building in the Fordham University Lincoln Center Campus, located at 113 West 60th Street (bounded by West 60th and West 62nd Streets, Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues). Enter at the corner of Columbus and 60th Street; take the escalator up one level to the bank of elevators on the Plaza Level. Elevators 5 and 6 go directly to the 12th floor; the other elevators go to the 11th floor from where you will have to walk one flight up.

Reduced-rate parking is available at Preor Parking (212-245-9594) at 40-50 West 61st Street, between Columbus Avenue and Broadway; the rate is $17 for 12 hours. A rate of $16 for 12 hours is available at Central Parking/Kenny Systems at 345 West 58th Street, between Columbus Avenue and Broadway (212-582-7110). Parking is also available at Allie Parking at 425 West 59th Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues, at the rate of $12 for 12 hours for an average-sized car (212-246-7220). To receive these reduced rates, you must validate their parking ticket at the Front Security Desk at the entrance to Fordham University at 113 W. 60th Street.

Public Transportation
Fordham can be reached by subway (A, B, C, D, 1 and 9 to 59th Street at Columbus Circle), and by city bus (M5, M7, M11, M104).

Fordham is also about one mile from Penn Station train station and one-half mile from the Port Authority bus station.  NYC is served by three airports: LaGuardia and JFK in New York, and Newark in New Jersey.

Note that you must add 13.375% taxes, $2 city occupancy tax and a $1.50 Javits Center fee to the hotel rate to calculate the total cost.

The following hotels provide a limited number of rooms at the Fordham corporate rate; if you wish to take advantage of this rate, please mention that you will be attending a Fordham conference when you make your reservation and ask for the Fordham rate.  To calculate distances, note that the conference venue is at 60th St. and Columbus (8th) Ave., in the Lowenstein Building of Fordham’s Lincoln Center campus. For those who put price above comfort and proximity, see below under Cheaper Accommodations for some other options.
