The Office of Career Management works with currently-enrolled graduate business students on all aspects of the job search in an effort to help them develop life-long career management skills. We endeavor to provide students with the skills and competencies they will need to be successful in the job search throughout the duration of their career.
Career Management staff are available for individual career counseling sessions to help manage an existing career or to explore the possibility of pursuing a new professional direction. A wide variety of reference materials related to the MBA job search are available in the Career Resource Library.
The Office of Career Management offers a variety of job search-related workshops for students throughout the year. A variety of Workshops cover topics such as writing effective resumes and cover letters, conducting a proactive job search, building business relationships through networking, smart preparation for the interview, and written communications. Fordham alumni and other executives and consultants are often featured speakers.
Through on-campus informational recruiting events, currently-enrolled students are offered the opportunity to meet with corporate representatives to learn about employment opportunities and future career paths. Hiring organizations who have recently visited campus have included: Societe Generale, IBM, Thomson Reuters, Deloitte, Duff & Phelps, Merrill Lynch, Kenneth Cole, KPMG, Ernst & Young, McGladrey, Knowledgent, Novartis, Gilt Groupe, Liberty Mutual, Quest Diagnostics, NBC Universal, Met Life, and CBS.
