Student Leader Trainings

An aspect of the OSAPSS Mission is to implement initiatives that "intend to change student knowledge, attitudes, and behavioral intentions related to alcohol and other drug use." One way OSAPSS achieves this is by training Fordham's student leaders in how to approach the subject of alcohol and its place on our campus.

Each Fall Semester, OSAPSS staff and the Fordham Peer Educators conduct training sessions with the Resident Assistants, Orientation Leaders, Urban Plunge Leaders, Rose Hill Ambassadors, Ram Van Drivers, Global Outreach Team Leaders and the Faculty Advisor Student Assistants for FCRH.  Training topics include norms clarfication, alcohol and other drug facts, sharing of campus resources and strategies for preventing and/or intervening in high-risk situations.
