Campus Ministry

Campus Ministry
Campus Ministry is here for students and staff. We like to help people thrive! We tend to the soul of the campus by offering opportunities for students and staff to develop their faith and spiritual life, regardless of religious affiliation. Our outreach is ecumenical: persons of all faiths are welcome. We offer spiritual direction, pastoral counseling, and a safe place to explore life’s questions. We collaborate with Community Service and Global Outreach to program events which will address current issues of interest to students. We hope to help students to find God’s presence in daily life. People of all faiths are invited to enjoy the peace and solitude of our chapel, which is located on the second floor just past Enrollment Services.  We look forward to meeting you. Please come in and introduce yourself to people who care. WELCOME!

There is a daily Mass at 12:15PM in our chapel on the second floor and a Sunday night Fordham Mass at 7:30 PM across the street at St. Paul the Apostle Church. We are always looking for students to participate as lectors, musicians, singers, Eucharistic Ministers, and servers. We will train you if you do not have experience in liturgical ministries. There is a music/choral group that provides the music for our celebrations. If you would like to get involved in any of the Liturgical Ministries, please call or stop by our office. Or better yet, join us at St Paul’s on Sunday nights and stay around for the home baked chocolate chip cookies!

The Mass of the Holy Spirit is Sunday, September 15th at 8:00 PM in St. Paul’s Church (60th St. & Columbus Ave.). All are invited!

+The Sacrament of Reconciliation is available on  Fridays from 1:00-1:30 PM in the Blessed Rupert Mayer, S.J. Chapel and at any time by appointment.
Call Campus Ministry at (212) 636-6267.

+ Inquirers into the Catholic faith: Students, faculty, and staff wishing to receive the sacraments of Baptism, Communion and Confirmation should contact Campus Ministry by calling (212) 636-6267 for more information.

We work closely with our Muslim Student Organization and Jewish Student Organization to program events.

Prayer Opportunities

Zen Meditation meets Tuesdays at 6:10 PM in the Chapel (LL 221).
Our Muslim students frequently use our chapel for daily prayer. There is a copy of the Koran as well as prayer rugs available in Campus Ministry. Please feel free to use them. Just stop by and we will show you where they are located.

In the past, groups of Muslim and Jewish students have gathered with the support of Campus Ministry. If you are interested in forming a group we invite you to give us a call. We would be happy to help you in any way we can.
