Office of Safety and Security
Security is a service-oriented department dedicated to the protection of the life and property of members of the Fordham University Community, their visitors and guests. Please report any suspicious, unusual, or emergency condition immediately. The Main Security Desk is located in the Lowenstein Building at the 60th Street Entrance. We provide very experienced Duty Supervisors, who formerly served as Ranking Officers with the NYPD, to supervise all Security personnel 24 hours a day throughout the year to ensure the highest quality service to the Fordham Community.
Emergencies may be phoned directly into Security via the red-colored phones centrally located at the elevator banks on each floor of the Lowenstein Building and on each floor of the Law School. We ask that all faculty, administrators, students, and staff view security as a shared responsibility. In partnership with our department, every member of the Fordham community is asked to join in the goal of making our Lincoln Center Campus a safe place to work and study.
"If you see something, say something. We are here to serve you."
The Advisory Committee on Campus Safety will provide upon request all campus crime statistics as reported to the U.S. Department of Education. The U.S. Department of Education website is: www.ed.gov.
