About the Writing Center

Writing Center tutors work with students on a variety of logical, rhetorical, and grammatical issues. They assist students with any type of writing from the curriculum, from conception, to composition, to completion. The aim is not only to help students to perfect individual essays, but also to help them develop the tools needed to become better writers. This is a free service available to all Fordham students.

During the academic year, the Lincoln Center Writing Center is generally open Mondays-Thursdays from 9:30 AM to 7:30 PM and on Fridays from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM. The Writing Center is open on reading days and closes when final exams begin, and it is located in the Lowenstein Building, Room 302e. To sign up for a session, please go to www.fordham.edu/writingcenter and follow the instructions. You may reserve up to an hour on any given day and as much as an hour and a half per week. If you have any questions, please call us at: (212) 636-6417.

If you cannot attend your session, log on to www.fordham.edu/writingcenter and cancel your appointment. Please be on time. If you are not here at your appointed time, your session may be given to someone else or simply cancelled. Walk-ins are welcome whenever space is available.

PLEASE BRING YOUR ASSIGNMENT WITH YOU AND EXPECT TO DO WORK.
