Online Housing Lottery

Our ONLINE housing lottery process is just around the corner! Housing Lottery is the process in which current residents in McMahon Hall will select their room placement for the 2013-2014 academic year. Current residents who do not participate in the housing lottery process are NOT guaranteed housing for the 2013-2014 academic year.

Please be advised that ALL housing lottery communication will be sent ONLY to your Fordham e-mail account. Information will be sent to you as new updates become available. It is very important that you continue to check your Fordham e-mail account on a daily basis. If you have a personal e-mail address that you prefer, make sure you forward your Fordham mail to this account.

Important Dates to Remember: (Dates are subject to change)

Phase 1: Deposit Deadline: Fri, Feb 15th by 6pm

Current McMahon residents interested in living in McMahon Hall for 2013-2014 must make a $200 housing deposit via by Friday, February 15th by 6pm. 

Phase 2: Housing Agreement and Application Tues, Feb 19th – Fri, Feb 22nd

Students who completed Phase 1 must confirm their personal information, agree to the Housing Agreement, answer lifestyle questions, provide hall and room type preferences and answer various housing questions via the housing application at during Phase 2. 

            Retention: Mon, Feb 25th and Tues, Feb 26th

Retention Groups must be created and verified no later than Tuesday, Feb 26th at 6pm. Students applying for room retention will be notified by the Office of Residential Life at Lincoln Center on Wed, Feb 27 via e-mail if they have been approved or denied for retention.


Distribution of Time Slots: Fri, March 1st

An individual timeslot will be emailed to every resident who paid a deposit and is eligible to participate in the room selection process. Timeslots will be assigned with priority given based on Graduation Year, with law students picking first, then seniors/juniors, then sophomores, then freshmen. 


Phase 3: Roommate Group Formation Mon, March 4th – Fri, March 8th

All groups must be created between Mon, Mar 4th at 10am and Fri, March 8th at 6pm via

Phase 4: Room Selection Mon, March 18th – Thurs, March 21st

Group Leaders will be responsible for picking apartments for their groups during their assigned time slots.
