Application Questions
|

How does the application process work?
Generally are accepted on a first-come first-serve basis. Applications are accepted via the online application on this website during specific times during the year. Usually application periods are early November and mid-spring. The process may be started at anytime however, due to unforeseen cancellations or other circumstances.

Can I visit the apartment?
As the apartments are occupied year round, it is often very difficult to find an apartment which is available to tour. If you are offered housing, and the apartment is vacant, you will have a chance to see an apartment. Depending on schedule and demand, a few open tour times may be available for individuals who which to see the apartments before applying. This is subject to an apartment being available for tours. Information regarding tours will be posted when they are available. It is highly recommended that you review the photos and floor plans on this website for reference.

What if housing is full?
If all the apartments are taken, then a waitlist is available. The waitlist has a set end date, usually close to move-in, which students are notified of when they apply for the list. When cancellations occur then it is offered to those on the waitlist. Once the end date of the list is reached, the list is no longer honored. If housing is full the Graduate Housing Manager can provide you with a list of other off-campus housing providers. Fordham does not endorse any specific housing providers, and the list is for reference only.

What if I find another apartment and want a roommate?
At this time Fordham does not provide any roommate matching services for off-campus housing. One method would be to request of alternate off-campus housing list
(see “What if housing is full?”) and list your opening there. |
