Summer Housing in McMahon Hall for 2009
Welcome to Summer Housing. We look forward to assisting you with your housing needs for Summer 2009! Fordham University has provided summer accommodations for students for many years. Our location, the Upper West Side of New York City is very convenient for exploring and enjoying all that New York City has to offer, and provides easy access to your place of work.
Summer housing accommodations in McMahon Hall will be available May 2009 - August 2009 for all eligible students.
Below please find information you should know before you call:
Housing is only available to:
- Current Fordham University Undergraduate Students
- Current Fordham University Law Students
- Former Fordham University Law Students studying for the Bar Exam
- Participants in Fordham University's, "Summer In The City" summer session
- Participants in Fordham University's, "Think Summer, Think Fordham" summer session
**Applications can be picked up in the Office of Residential Life***
Undergraduate Dates:
- Summer Session I: May 24, 2009 - June 26, 2009 ($930.00/double $1090.00/single)
- Summer Session II: June 28, 2009 - July 31, 2009* ($905.00/double $1060.00/single)
- Intersession: August 8, 2009-August 31 ($370.00/double 440.00/single)
(Intersession residents must have Fall 2009 assignment in McMahon Hall)
$50.00 Non-Refundable deposit is required for any summer session
*The move out date for undergraduates is July 31, 2009. If you are enrolled in a summer class at Fordham University, the move out date is August 5, 2009.
Law Student Dates:
- Bar Exam: May 24, 2009 - July 31, 2009 ($2120.00/singles only)
- Summer Session: May 24, 2009 - July 31, 2009 ($2185.00/singles only)
- Intersession: August 8, 2009 ($440.00) (Intersession residents must have Fall 2009 assignment in McMahon Hall)
* $50.00 Non-Refundable deposit is required for any summer session
Important Information Regarding Summer 2009 Work In McMahon Hall:
Facilities Preventive Maintenance work will be done in McMahon Hall this summer. Floors 9, 12, and 18-20 will be undergoing renovation during the Summer 2009 so residents who successfully retain apartments on these floors will have to vacate in May and move back in August; residents will not be able to live there continuously throughout the summer. The following five(5) apartments, cannot be occupied during Summer 2009: 11C, 11E, 11G, 11J, and 11K; residents will not be able to live in these apartments continuously throughout the summer.
Summer housing is still available in McMahon Hall, and we hope you will choose to stay in McMahon if your summer plans keep you in New York, but residents should be aware that this work will result in noise and visits from facilities staff throughout the building.
