Wellness Housing 2007-2008

Mission/Philosophy:

The foundation of this housing program is to provide a residential environment that promotes and role models holistic wellness in an alcohol, drug and tobacco free environment within the setting of urban suite style living.

Description:

Dedicated to a healthy and well-rounded life-style, Wellness Housing offers a wide range of social, physical, educational and spiritual activities. Students live on the 6th floor of McMahon Hall, close to the Fitness Center, the Health Center and the Counseling Center. Residents have the opportunity to shape this residential experience by leading, participating in and living the ideals of the floor. Wellness residents have the unique opportunity to:

  • Consistently participate in and plan programs that relate to Wellness.
  • Committing to Wellness Community Expectations that agree to live in an alcohol, drug and tobacco free lifestyle on and off campus.
  • Serve on a Wellness Committee in order to give direct feedback about living in McMahon Hall.
  • Learn about spiritual, physical, emotional and academic wellness through research and programming opportunities.

For further information about Wellness housing in McMahon Hall at Lincoln Center, please contact James Robilotta, Resident Director for Freshman Students at (212) 636-7100 or reslifelc@fordham.edu.
