We hope you are interested in living in one of these unique Residential Communities. To participate, please follow the following instructions:
1. By early June, all incoming Fordham University students who have been accepted with housing will be sent a Housing Brochure by the Office of Residential Life.
2. Upon receipt of this Brochure, please fill out the card in the rear of the Housing Brochure.
3. The card asks for students to prioritize their top three housing preferences.
a. If you are interested in the Residential College at Tierney Hall, please write Tierney Hall as your first choice. Inside the Housing Brochure, there will be a list of seminars offered to Tierney Hall residents. All Tierney Hall residents must be enrolled in at least one of these seminars. On the Housing Card, please list your top two choices of seminars, as well as the two seminars in which you would not like to be enrolled. If you list Tierney Hall as any of your top three housing preferences, you should include your seminar selections as well.
Note: Because of the academic component of this ILC, CBA students, students in the FCRH Honors program, and students who intend to pursue Pre-Med or to major in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics are not eligible for Tierney Hall. These students are encouraged to consider Queen's Court or the Science Integrated Learning community.
b. If you are interested in living in Queen's Court Residential College, please write Queen's Court as your first choice. The Master of Queen's Court will request an essay to be submitted regarding your commitment to living in this Integrated Learning Community.
c. If you are interested in living in the Science Integrated Learning Community, please write Alumni Court South as your first choice and select the Science Integrated Learning Community (SILC) box on the card. Please remember, to be eligible to live in SILC, you must be enrolled in science courses in Fall 2007 and plan to enroll in science courses in Spring 2008.
4. Send the housing card to the Office of Residential Life in the envelope provided with the Housing Brochure immediately.
5. All housing assignments will be made on a first come, first served basis. Unfortunately, due to the demand for participation in Residential Colleges, not all first preferences can be accommodated; however, we will do our best to meet your needs and interests!
Please contact the Office of Residential Life with any questions.
