Welcome to the Office of Student Leadership & Community Development, the central hub of all student club activities at FCLC. Located in Lowenstein Room 408, the Office of Student Leadership & Community Development provides guidance and support to student leaders looking to build, maintain and develop their clubs. As a Jesuit institution, Fordham attempts to educate students as whole people. In the Office of Student Leadership & Community Development, we share that goal and work toward it each day, where a dedicated administrative staff works to develop students into leaders in their community.
Developing a Sense of Community
We provide students with meaningful interactions outside of the classroom that connect students with their peers and with other members of the University community. These interactions help students to emerge as leaders, not only in their classrooms, but in the wider student community. Believing in the importance of service in its many dimensions, we offer our students opportunities to work collaboratively and effectively with their peers, other student clubs and our faculty.
Developing Fordham Leaders
At the Office of Student Leadership & Community Development, we strive to provide a beneficial and enjoyable experience to every member of every club on campus. Students must reserve rooms and obtain funds for their respective clubs through our office. New students searching for information regarding student activities look to the Office of Student Leadership & Community Development for encouragement and assistance. Students looking to create a new club of their own come to our office to do so. If you want to be a student leader at FCLC, the Office of Student Leadership is where you will eventually find yourself. Please don’t hesitate to come to our offices and talk to our staff about who we are and what we do. Take advantage of the support that the Office of Student Leadership & Community Development can provide and become a student leader at Fordham today.
