Commuter Student Services
Commuter Student Services (CSS) are offered through the Office of Student Leadership and Community Development within the Division of Student Affairs. Please contact the Graduate Intern for Commuter Student Services, at 212-930-8832 or lccss@fordham.edu with any questions or stop by the Student Organization Resource Center, Room SL-19.
Locker Rental
The Office of Student Leadership and Community Development rents lockers for the fall, spring and summer session to commuting students. Locker rental fees are $15.00 for the full academic year and $10.00 for a single semester or summer session. To rent a locker, please stop by the Office of Student Leadership and Community Development in LL 408.

Freshman Commuter Barbecue
During the summer, new commuter students are invited to attend a summer outdoor barbecue, where they have the opportunity to meet other new students, meet campus administrators and tour the campus. At the barbecue, students learn more about Student Activities, New Student Orientation and Commuter Life at Fordham. Severalcontests and promotions sponsored by the Commuting Student Association (CSA) are among the activities featured at the barbecue. This year’s Commuter Barbeque was held on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 from 12p.m.-4p.m.

Commuter Brunch
CSS sponsors a bi-weekly Commuter Brunch program for commuter students. If you’re hungry for a late morning snack or just want the opportunity to mingle with other commuter students, then this is your chance! Come meet the graduate intern for Commuter Student Services or just grab a bite to eat before you go to your afternoon classes.

Subway Series
The Subway Series is a commuter student outreach program run by CSS. During the week of tabling, the Graduate Intern surveyed studentsto hear more about what programs they would like to see on the Lincoln Center campus.

Commuter-Friendly Spaces
CSS wants to remind you that there are places on campus where you can go to feel welcome and comfortable. The Student Lounge at the back of the Cafeteria and the 2nd Floor Lounge of Lowenstein are both places for commuters to relax and get together when they are at school.

Grant for Commuter Students
Fordham University Metropolitan Student Award
Students who reside at home while pursuing their undergraduate degree at Fordham have long been an important part of our university community.

The Metropolitan Student Award is a $6,000 tuition grant made available to commuting students regardless of financial need who commute to Fordham from the permanent residence of his or her immediate family for the duration of enrollment.It is renewable for up to four years for recipients who maintain normal progress toward their degree.
**The Greater New York Metropolitan Area includes the 5 boroughs of New York City and the surrounding New York, New Jersey and Connecticut counties within commuting distance of Fordham University. Commuter Student Services
The Lincoln center campus of Fordham University provides students with a unique experience, and one of the contributing factors of this is the large commuter population. Approximately half of the 1,600 full-time, undergraduate students at Lincoln Center are commuters. A variety of on-campus programs exist to enhance the commuter experience at the University.
