Student Groups

The Office of Student Leadership and Community Development is your source for getting involved in campus life at the Lincoln Center campus of Fordham University. We provide students with meaningful interactions outside of the classroom that connect students with their peers and with other members of the University community. We encourage students to get involved in one or more of the following opportunities.

Student Government:

FACE Series
Fordham Advocates Cultural Enrichment is a week series of programming that entails co-sponsorship with Cultural student groups to celebrate diversity and culture on campus

Freshman Family Weekend Committee
Organizes weekend programming for families of FCLC freshman students

Falltopia Committee
Programs week of social activities for FCLC students

Senior Week Committee
Coordinates week of activities to celebrate FCLC seniors

Spring Fling Committee
Creates week of programming to celebrate the beginning of Spring and the end of the academic year

Week of Welcome Committee
Organizes programming for all FCLC students to welcome them back to campus in the Fall semester

Academic:

Economics Society
Enables students majoring in Economics as well as students with an interest in economics to combine classroom experience with real life economics issues

Fordham Undergraduate Philosophical Society (FUPS)
Supporting the philosophical scholarly endeavors of students

MAPS (Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students)
Supports pre-health students with knowledge, skills, and experience for a health-related career

Mock Trial

Mu Alpha Pi

Pre-Law Society
Familiarizes all interested students with various aspects of the legal field

Psychology Association
Provides students with information relevant to a career in the field of psychology

Science Club
Helps science majors obtain information about medial school, dental school, graduate school and different job opportunities

Society of Anthropology and Sociology
Introduces the Fordham community to the study of mankind through lectures, discussions, and film screenings

Provides students with musical interest to express their gifts and musical achievements

Dance Alliance
Provides a strong community for those interested in dance

Asian Pacific American Coalition (APAC)
Enriches and enlightens the student body about the cultural, social, historical, and intellectual pursuits of the Asian community

Italian education and social programming

Desi C.H.A.I. (Culture Honored Among Individuals)
Promotes cultural awareness of Desi culture

Gaelic Society
Irish history and culture

Hellenic Society
Greek culture

Jewish Students Organization (JSO)
Allows Jewish and non-Jewish students alike to get together to learn about Jewish culture, celebrate Jewish holidays, participate in communal activities, and discuss relevant current events

La Societe Francaise
Cultural club that aims to enhance knowledge of French culture and language

Middle Eastern Student Association (MESA)
Promotes awareness of a common heritage among Middle Easterners and provides students with the opportunity to learn more through culture, language, and history

Molimo
Promotes education and cultural celebration through harmony as a group and to uphold the virtues for self motivation, progress and continual success

Polish Students Organization (PSO)
Educates the Fordham community about Polish traditions, customs, and history

Radius
Catholic cultural appreciation group

SOL (Student Organization of Latinos)
Provides the Fordham community and the Hispanic community with academic support, Hispanic leadership, community involvement, and cultural awareness

Debate:

Gannon Speech and Debate
Study collegiate forensics and prepare for and compete in regional and national tournaments

Peer Education:

FaceAIDS
Part of a national student campaign to fight HIV/AIDS in Africa

ISIS (In Strength, I Stand)
Plans to educate the FCLC community on current events, emerging viewpoints, and the changing status of women in America

PARty (Peers Advocating Responsibility)
Promotes social responsibility and works towards the advancement of social, moral, and intellectual development of the FCLC community

Rainbow Alliance
Educates and promotes a discrimination free environment on the grounds of sexual orientation

RISE (Raising Interest in the Social Community)
Educates and promotes awareness of social issues that affect people today
