Mary Botosan
Mary Botosan-Yoga
Mary K. Botosan came to yoga over 12 years ago. A former dance student and part time yogini, Mary decided four years ago to deepen her study of yoga. Mary holds a 200 hour RYT certification in the style of Anusara Yoga. 'Anusara' (translates to 'Open to Grace') is a style that combines the study of the origins of yoga with an intensive amount of study of the body and proper alignment. What sets this style apart, in her opinion, is the positive affirmation side - seeking the beauty in every student. It's a joyful, encouraging, practice, never too serious to have a laugh in every class. Mary teaches all levels (beginner, advanced, fertility, pre-natal and kids). She lives part year in New York City, teaching yoga and working in technical production management (her career of 20 years). The other part of the year, Mary lives in Costa Rica where she and husband have several conservation projects on the coastal rain forest. Mary also teaches yoga while in Costa Rica - teaching in both English and Spanish and daily introducing yoga to new students. For a peak into her CR life, you can see www.casaguanabana.com, and travel blog at www.canciondelsol.blogspot.com For more on the yoga offerings at Fordham, join the Facebook group Yoga@Fordham.

Amy Soucy-Yoga
Amy Soucy  As a busy actress/singer/musical theater performer, Amy found herself drawn to the grounding practice of yoga after wandering into a class at the New York Integral Yoga Institute ten years ago. She earned her first hatha yoga teacher certification with Integral Yoga in 2005.
Looking to deepen her practice and understanding of this ancient art, she discovered Anusara Yoga®, a style of hatha yoga that encourages students to explore the vast potential of their own bodies, minds and hearts. Amy completed an Anusara Yoga teacher training in 2009, and has since become an Anusara Inspired® instructor. She is deeply committed to offering accessible, inspiring and transformative classes to yogis of all levels and backgrounds, steering each student toward a recognition of their own unique gifts and greater levels of strength and freedom inside and out. In addition, Amy adores teaching Mommy & Me style, family-friendly classes to toddlers and their parents as a Certified Itsy Bitsy Yoga Facilitator.
Amy gratefully acknowledges the brilliant teachers, past and present, who've deeply inspired and influenced her teaching, studentship, and life including John Friend, Dr. Douglas Brooks, Elena Brower, Mark Whitwell, Kali Morse, Helen Garabedian and Eric Stoneberg.
When she’s not on the mat, Amy nourishes her soul by singing, creating songs, and playing the guitar… an instrument, like the bodymind, of infinite possibilities.

 Yoga Instructor - Julia Pearring
Julia Pearring-Yoga
Julia Pearring  It was in her first Anusara Yoga class that Julia set the intention of lifelong studentship. For her, the Yoga practices are the means to living an authentic, consistently refining, joy-filled life, and they have transformed her completely. Knowing that each of us has the potential to live a life of truth, wisdom and love, she invites her students into the ever expanding freedom of moving intentionally from our core. Julia received her training at the World Yoga Center where she continues to study and deepen her understanding of the Yoga teachings with Rudrani Farbman. She is an Anusara-inspired teacher currently working toward Anusara Certification, and she welcomes you into the practice!
