FAMILY WEEKEND 2012 | SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Rose Hill Campus



Friday, November 9, 2012
 
Registration | 2 – 7 p.m.
 
Stop by the registration table to pick up your event tickets and enjoy light refreshments while mingling with other families. University staff and students will be on hand to welcome you, answer your questions and provide information about the University, surrounding area and local restaurants.

Welcome Reception | 5:30 P.M.7:30 P.M. 
Mingle with your favorite Fordham faculty and administrators, as well as other Fordham families, while enjoying music, hors d'oeuvres and refreshments.

Fordham winter wonderland | 6:30 – 10:30 p.m.
As the winter holidays approach, join us with your family for a delightful night of ice skating. Skates and hot chocolate will be provided for all!
$5 per adult
 

Mimes and mummers performance of "39 steps"
| 8pm
Join your family and enjoy a performance of "39 Steps" by Fordham's own student group, the Mimes and Mummers!
$5 per person | Seating is limited. (This performance will repeat on Saturday, November 10 at 8pm and on Sunday, November 11 at 2pm)

Sibling sleepover program: video game tournament and ice cream madness | 10:00pm
Students and their siblings are invited to participate in a video game tournament and to build their own ice cream
sundaes, so bring your appetite! Display your best dance moves for our JustDance challenge, or show us who can take the wheel at MarioKart. The lucky winner of each challenge will receive a grand prize!

Sibling Sleepover Program:MOrning cereal and toons | 9:30 – NOON
While parents are enjoying a morning with Joseph M. McShane, S.J., president of Fordham University and other
distinguished members of the Fordham community, students and their siblings can enjoy a throw-back morning of their
favorite cartoons and cereal.

Parents’ University: A Classroom Experience | 10:30 a.m. – Noon
After enjoyig a light breakfast and a brief welcome address from Joseph M. McShane, S.J., president of Fordham University, experience a class presented by some of Fordham’s finest faculty.
Keating First Auditorium and Keating Hall classrooms
 
Family Weekend Lunch | Noon – 1:30 p.m.
Join us before the football game and enjoy hot dogs, sub sandwiches, chili, cornbread, and many of your other pre-game favorites, as well as live music and appearances by Fordham student performing groups to pump you up for the big game!
McGinley Center, 2nd Floor | $15 per adult
(Lunch included in Sibling Sleepover Registration)

Fordham University Football Game | 1 p.m.
Join your student to watch the hard-hitting action and to cheer on our Rams as they take on Lafayette College. Go Rams!
Jack Coffey Field | $12 for family members
Fordham students may attend home football games free of charge.

Maroon mainstage |4:00p.m.5:30p.m.
Come for a showcase of Fordham’s finest talent and witness our various performing groups in action. Light refreshments
will be provided.

Family Weekend Mass | 6 p.m.
Come together to worship at the University’s family liturgy. Joseph M. McShane, S. J., president of Fordham University, will be the celebrant.

Dine on arthur avenue 
Haven't been to the famous Arthur Avenue yet?  Now is the perfect time.  Join your family for a delicious dinner at any of Arthur's fabulous restaurants before spending another night out with your Ram! 

Sibling Sleepover Program: Snacks and a Movie | 7:30 p.m.
All the participants of the sibling sleepover will be able to snack on chicken fingers, french fries, and other delicious treats while watching a movie not yet released on video.

After the movie, get ready to be spooked on one of the nation’s most haunted campuses. Take a stroll through campus,
guided by the students who’ve seen it all, and find out why Fordham earned its spot as second most haunted university in the country.
