The Office of Student Leadership and Community Development serves the community by developing a campus environment where students complement their academic experience with a co-curricular life outside of the classroom.
The OSL&CD is responsible for:
Club Advising, Student Government, Event Programming, Commuter Student Services, New Student Orientation, McGinley Campus Center Operations, and FUEL.
What is FUEL?
FUEL is an acronym for Fordham University Emerging Leaders and is a semester long student leadership program that consists of workshops, seminars, and presentations aimed at developing personal leadership skills.
Who presents FUEL Workshops, Seminars, and Presentations?
Current Student Leaders, Faculty Members, and Administrators present sessions in order to develop personal leadership skills, increase student input and influence in the community, and to create and empower the next generation of student leaders.
Who participates in FUEL?
Students who have demonstrated leadership skills and promise and have been nominated by administrators, faculty, and current student leaders.
Program Structure
Participants must attend Eight (8) Sessions in order to earn a certificate of completion for the program
Three (3) of these Sessions must be Core Programs

FUEL Consists of 3 Core Programs that must be attended to graduate
These programs will be offered at least three different times during the semester.

“Leadership and Values” by Greer Jason
“Student Leader Alcohol Skills Training” by Ed Wahesh
Student Leadership Weekend

Overnight Special Leadership Skills Retreat
