Leadership Initiatives
Fordham University offers a variety of leadership programming focused on holistic student development that students can participate in.
A new idea
In the fall of 2010, the leadership initiatives underwent a change in format. Previously planned and coordinated by professionals in Rose Hill’s Office of Student Leadership & Community Development (OSLCD), Leadership Weekend and the Fordham University Emerging Leaders (FUEL) program were not viewed as parts of a continuum of leadership programming, but rather separate events, and were coordinated separately. But in 2010, a different approach was taken, with the consolidation of all leadership initiatives under the responsibility of one student committee.

Leadership Weekend and FUEL are sponsored by The OSL&CD
The Office of Student Leadership and Community Development serves the community by developing a campus environment where students complement their academic experience with a co-curricular life outside of the classroom.
The OSL&CD is responsible for:
Club Advising, Student Government, Event Programming, Commuter Student Services, New Student Orientation, McGinley Campus Center Operations, and Leadership Initiatives.
