Leadership Weekend is an off-campus retreat for an entire weekend devoted to developing current and upcoming student leaders at Fordham. The upcoming fall retreat will be October 23rd – 24th. Departure will be at 4:00pm Friday, October 23rd to Clearpool Education Facility. Departure from the camp will be at 4:00pm Saturday, October 24th.
What can I look forward to this year at Leadership Weekend?
This year there are two themes for Leadership Weekend: Let Go of Certainty and Exhibit Your Genius. Along with fun group activities to help you get to know other student leaders and learn more about your leadership style, there will also be sessions focusing on practical tips for leadership as well as sessions intended to challenge you to expand your creativity and spark your enthusiasm.
Who can attend?
All student leaders and students interested in leadership are invited to attend this event! We look forward to a combination of seasoned leaders from representatives of Fordham’s student governments/associations, officers of student clubs as well as RAs, CAs to freshman mentors (and this list is no way exhaustive). As well as freshman, sophomores, and juniors thinking of taking up leadership positions.If you are interested sign-up today!
WHAT DOES IT COST?
This is a free retreat for students. All meals are provided but you must bring your own bedding. Also, please bring your favorite snack to share with the group. If you can not bring your favorite snack we encourage you to bring something else to share. Most importantly, we ask you to bring your enthusiasm, commitment, creativity, responsibility and an open mind.
Who will facilitate?
Student Affairs staff members have developed interactive workshops that should be interesting for all participants.
How do I register?
Register for Leadership Weekend by completing the registration form in the Leadership Weekend Brochure and returning it to Lindsey Jacobs in the Office of Student Leadership and Community Development by Monday, October 19th at 4pm.
