Summer Orientation Programs:
Summer Orientation Programs are helpful in informing new students and families about the adjustment to college life.  The formal program includes an academic overview presentation, break-out sessions, campus tours, and Q&A sessions with students and administrators. The dates for 2009 are:

New Student Fall Orientation Program:

The three-day fall Orientation program is mandatory for all new students.  Families are invited to campus on Sunday for resident move-in and commuter registration and then are asked to depart at 6 p.m.  Academic Orientation and Student Life Orientation will introduce new students to different aspects of academics and activities offered at Fordham which will enhance their college experience. The dates for 2009 are:

Monday, August 31, 2009 / Academic Orientation

Tuesday, September 1, 2009 / Student Life Orientation

Classes start Wednesday, September 2, 2009


Commuter Barbecue:
This fun filled event allows students to enjoy good food in the great company of other classmates who also call the New York metropolitan area home. The Commuter Barbecue is sponsored by New Student Orientation, Commuter Student Services, and the Commuting Students Association. The date for 2009 is:

August 13, 2009 / 12PM-4PM

Family Weekend:
During Family Weekend, students invite their families to visit campus and participate in a variety of activities both on campus and within New York City.  Detailed information about Family Weekend will be mailed home in September. The dates for 2009 are:
