Jennifer Mussi, Assistant Dean of Student Leadership & Community Development

Jennifer joined the Division of Student Affairs in June 2000. She served as Director of Student Activities and New Student Orientation for the Lincoln Center Campus until November 2005 and then moved to the Rose Hill Campus to assume the position of Assistant Dean for Student Leadership and Community Development. Jennifer graduated from Fordham College Rose Hill with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Media Studies and the New York University Graduate School of Education with a Master of Arts in Student Personnel Administration. Jennifer recently completed her Doctor of Philosophy in Church and Non-Public School Leadership at the Fordham University Graduate School of Education and writing her dissertation titled, “Does Mission Matter? An Exploration of the Relationship Between Jesuit Mission and the New Student Affairs Professional.” Jennifer is a member of the Alpha Sigma Nu National Jesuit Honor Society, Phi Kappa Phi, JASPA, NASPA, ACPA, NODA and NACA. Jennifer has published numerous articles for the NACA Programming Magazine and presents student and staff development workshops on a variety of topics including leadership, strategic planning, organizational change, student development theory and foundations of Jesuit and Catholic education. Jennifer is a native of New York City and a New York Yankees and New York Giants fan.
Charles Amerson, Assistant Director of Campus Center Operations

As the Assistant Director for Campus Center Operations, Charles has several duties. They include managing Campus Center facilities and event support services, supervision of the Reservation Cooridinator, Building Manager and Operations Assistant and marketing campus venues for external customer use. He is a member of ACUI, NACAS and ACCED-I where he is in the process of starting his requirements towards becoming a Certified Event Planner (CEP).
Charles earned both his Bachelor of Music in Music and Arts Management and Masters of Arts in Communication at the University of Hartford. As the other native New Yorker in our office, he is a fan of the New York Mets and New York Giants.
Caroline Whelan, Assistant Director of Leadership and Commuter Student Services

Caroline serves as the Assistant Director for Leadership and Commuter Student Services for the Office of Student Leadership and Community Development. She advises the United Student Government (USG) and Commuting Students Association (CSA) in addition to implementing the Fordham University Emerging Leaders (FUEL) program. She also coordinates programs surrounding Senior Week.
Caroline studied Sociology at Boston College and most recently spent time at Santa Clara University where she worked in student affairs and also completed her Master's degree in Higher Education Administration.
Sylvia is responsible for the smooth operation of the Office of Student Leadership & Community Development. She makes sure the members of the Fordham community and visitors are assisted with any questions or concerns they may have regarding student affairs. Sylvia is responsible for overseeing the student workers and handling the OSL & CD monthly calendar, preparing advertisements for the electronic sign board, approving flyers, and preparing information regarding events and services on and off campus. She is also responsible for keeping track of Senior Week and Orientation budget lines along with maintaining office inventory.
Lisandra Miranda, Reservation Coordinator

Lisandra's job is to reserve space and aid in the planning of all non-academic events on campus. She assists in the development of events including choosing the appropriate space. Lisandra provides tables and audio visual equipment for events taking place in the McGinley Center, requests security for events, and makes sure each location is set up and ready prior to the start of each event.
Dave Eng, Graduate Intern

Dave Eng is the Graduate Intern of Programming and Student Leadership and his responsibilities include advising clubs and organizations, implementing student training workshops, and assisting with the Fordham University Emerging Leaders Program. Additionally he handles club travel and budget forms and maintains the OSL&CD website. He studied Information Technology / Advertising and graduated in 2005 from the University of Hartford in Connecticut where he was involved as both a student and professional with orientation, student government, residential life, facilities management and event programming. Currently he is pursuing his master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Personnel Administration at New York University. His birthday is January 8th and he hails from the greatest state there ever was: New Jersey.
