Philosophy Society

The Philosophy Society strives to fortify philosophy as an intellectual discipline outside of the classroom by means of providing lectures, topical discourses, and other scholarly opportunities for students with a strong interest in philosophy. Philosophical developments and inquiries are promulgated as they vitally relate to the tradition of the Jesuits and, as a consequence, Fordham University. Students are given the opportunity to comfortably share and nurture their own opinions and philosophical questions as an essential means of developing a sound philosophy of their own. All students are encouraged to understand the importance of philosophy as a discipline inherently related to all academic disciplines.
