| Our Bands and Orchestra are select ensembles comprised of Fordham students from the Bronx, Manhattan and Tarrytown campuses. The repertoire is representative of the finest college level literature. The groups enjoy a performance schedule which includes Monday and Thursday evening rehearsals in the McGinley Center as well as performances in the New York metropolitan area with recent nationally televised appearances on MSNBC, MTV and ABC.
Scholarships toward tuition reduction are available to all instrumentalists based on merit and the particular needs of the ensemble. Additionally, up to four free credits will be granted by the Department of Music upon completion of requirements.

Concert Band
The Concert Band performs music from the standard college level wind band literature along with a substantial emphasis on the new music of contemporary composers. Upcoming programs include the music of Holst, Williams, Grainger, Persichetti, Ives, Shostakovich, Mozart, Copland, W. Schuman, Chance, Smith, Ticheli, Ewazen, Holsinger, Nelhybel, Reed, Van der Roost, and De Meij among others. Some of the main goals of the band are to bring in and perform with famous soloists on various instruments, commission new works by respected composers and record CDs of live performance.

Pep Band/Marching Band
The Pep Band performs at basketball and football games at home as well as in Madison Square Garden. The music is an exciting blend of Rock, Jazz, Funk, Dance and T. V. Sports Themes. The band has marched down 5th Avenue in N.Y. City Parades and other nationally televised events such as strutting through the Canyon of Heroes with the Giants, Mets or Yankees.
