Dear FCLC Mock Trial Alumni,
The FCLC Mock Trial Team is looking to expand the depth and creativity of our organization. We value our alumni and would like to keep you updated on our recent progress and accomplishments. In the 2007-2008 season, we did very well at the Atlantic Regional Tournament at St. John's, earning a bid to the National Intercollegiate Tournament in Hamilton, Ohio for the first time in several years. We also earned two attorney awards last season as well as several witness awards the year before.
The 2008-2009 season was a rebuilding year, in which we bounced back from several losses in terms of personnel. However, it was also a year in which several new members developed into talented team leaders. In the 2009-2010 Mock Trial season, we are looking to utilize our balance of veteran leadership and quickly developing talent to build on our recent success.
In order to do this, we hope to rely on the support of our former members who have laid the foundation that we are attempting to build upon. We would like to create an alumni directory so that we will have access to the talent and experience of our alumni. We hope to ultilize this directory to keep you, our alumni, apprised of the schedule of events we hope to have throughout this year and into the future. Specifically, we hope to have some alumni fundraising events and scrimmages during the season.
Additionally, we would appreciate anyone who would like to come back and help the team as a guest attorney, witness or judge during one of our many team scrimmages. I hope that, as our alumni, you will contact us if you feel that you can support our team in any way or simply would like to have your name added to our new Alumni Directory.
Please let any other FCLC Mock Trial veterans that you are still in touch with know about our Alumni intiative. I sincerely appreciate your continued support of the FCLC Mock Trial Team. As our prospects for the team broaden, we would like to ensure that our alumni are involved as we attempt to take the team to unprecedented heights in the upcoming years.
