Recent Awards/Honors News
The FCLC Mock Trial Team has been in existence for over a decade. It has enjoyed a great deal of success over the last two years in particular. In the 2006-2007 season, Rachel Strickland won an Outstanding Witness Award during the UPenn Invitational Tournament, reflecting her high scores at the competition. The team went on to garner even more honors at the Regional Tournament at St. John's University. John Bashaar, Emily Duncker and Anthony Bruno earned Outstanding Witness Awards, bringing the FCLC Award total to four for the year. Brittany McGrath earned an Outstanding Intercollegiate Attorney Award at the St. John's University Regional Tournament, tying for the best overall score at the competition. Through its strong showing at the Regional Tournament, FCLC Mock Trial qualified a team for the National Tournament in Ohio, a prestigious honor that allowed us to compete against the best universities in the nation. The team had a solid showing at the National Tournament, where Rob Whitbeck earned an Outstanding Intercollegiate Attorney Award. The opportunity to take part in FCLC Mock Trial is a truly rare opportunity to join a rapidly developing program as it surges toward unprecedented success.
