Head Coach


Nicole S. Junior, Esq.
 
Head Mock Trial Coach Nicole S. Junior, Esq., earned her Bachelor of Arts with High Honors from Smith College, where she double-majored in Afro-American Studies and Sociology. After graduating from Smith, Nicole went on to earn her Masters in Education from Pace University and her Juris Doctorate from the Beasley School of Law at Temple University. While a law student at Temple, Nicole participated in and served as a Teacher’s Assistant for the Integrated Trial Advocacy program, as well as competed at various national competitions as a member of the highly-esteemed Temple Law National Trial Team. As a Trial Team competitor, she earned various honors, including the American Bar Association’s Best Advocate and Best Cross Examiner Awards. Upon graduating from Temple Law, Nicole joined the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office where, as an Assistant District Attorney, she prosecuted hundreds of crimes ranging from attempted assault to attempted murder. Today, Nicole continues to serve the public interest as an Executive Agency Attorney at the New York City Civilian Complaint Review Board, where she prosecutes members of the New York City Police Department for misconduct. In the Fall of 2012, Nicole joined the Fordham University Lincoln Center Mock Trial Program as Head Coach. During the 2012-2013 mock season, the FCLC Mock Trial Team advanced to the American Mock Trial Association’s National Competition for the first time in its history.

Olatokunbo Olaniyan, Esq.
Olatokunbo Olaniyan, Esq., is an Assistant District Attorney at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, where she prosecutes sex crimes.  Prior to becoming an Assistant District Attorney, Olatokunbo attended Syracuse University School of Law, where she participated in the Syracuse Law Mock Trial Program. As a mock trial competitor, Olatokunbo competed in several tournaments, such as the National Institute of Trial Advocacy Tournament of Champions, and she earned various honors, including the NITA Best Advocate Award.
 
 
Kavin Thadani, Esq.
Kavin Thadani graduated magna cum laude from the Syracuse University College of Law in 2009 and from Fordham University in 2006. He is currently an associate in the Complex Mass Torts and Insurance Litigation practice group at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. While at Fordham, Kavin was a four-year member of the FCLC mock trial team. At Syracuse, Kavin was a member of the Law Review, Moot Court Honor Society and National Trial Team, was named to the Order of the Coif, and was awarded the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers Excellence in Advocacy Award. Kavin has also judged numerous high school and college mock trial competitions. He has been coaching the FCLC mock trial team since the 2012-13 season.
