About the Performance Program
The performance training program includes the Stanislavski approach to scene study, performance studies in Chekhov, Theatre of the Absurd, and Acting Shakespeare, as well as Linklater Voice Technique and Butoh movement. The four years culminate in advanced scene study focusing on Stanislavski's work with physical actions, which he developed during the last phase of his career.

The acting curriculum combines voice training and a movement based approach to acting drawing upon the latest research from the traditions of Stanislavski and Grotowski. In their senior year, performance majors take senior audition classes that provide them with resources and knowledge to help them start their own career after graduation. They also participate in a senior showcase for agents and casting directors that not only exposes them to key contacts, but also serves as a vehicle for receiving comments and critiques from other members of the professional world.
