Scheduling Form for

Fordham Theatre Program Auditions & Interviews

Thank you for your interest in Fordham’s Theatre Program!

Auditions and Interviews are scheduled on a first come, first serve basis. Due to the large number of prospective students auditioning for the performance major, we cannot accommodate individual audition appointments outside of the dates listed. (Those interviewing for Directing, Playwriting, or Design & Production may be able to schedule an individual appointment if absolutely necessary although it is to your advantage to schedule during the January & February days if at all possible.)

We recommend that you schedule your audition or interview as early as possible as the days do fill up. (Please keep in mind also, that we are on winter break from mid December – mid January, so we strongly advise scheduling your audition or interview prior to this time so that you can make travel arrangements. We will be unable to confirm any appointments made during the winter break until we return to school mid January.)

In the event of inclement weather, auditions and interviews will still be held. If you miss your audition or interview due to bad weather, we will make arrangements with you to reschedule if possible, or you will need to send a videotaped audition.

(** Fall 2009 transfers are encouraged to audition/interview live at one of the January & February audition/interview days. After that time, potential performance transfers will need to send a videotaped audition. We will do our best to accommodate directing/playwriting/design & production track transfer interviews on a case by case basis, but again, it is best if you can interview during the January & February days.)

Please be aware that there is NO EARLY ACTION admission for Theatre Majors.

Directing interviews are held only during the January & February dates at the Lincoln Center campus (not at regional locations).

CAMPUS VISITS – The theatre faculty and students are available to you on the dates of the Open Houses listed above as well as the NYC Jan & Feb audition / interview days. You will be able to talk with the theatre faculty and students and take a theatre tour on any of these days (you do not need to schedule this separately; it will be part of the day’s activities).

Due to the large number of students visiting the campus, we are unable to accommodate requests for individual theatre meetings and tours other than the days listed above. If you plan a campus visit on another day, you can, however, take a campus tour through the office of undergraduate admission.

SITTING IN ON THEATRE CLASSES – Students accepted into the theatre program will be invited to visit and sit in on theatre classes in the spring. Accepted students will be notified of this opportunity.

Thank you! We look forward to meeting you soon!
