Workflow Training – Employee New Hire Request/Electronic Access Request (LC)
This session will introduce you to Banner Workflow, a part of the Banner Management Suite. Banner workflow is designed to automate, simplify, and direct the flow of information electronically across the entire University.
Banner Workflow is open, flexible workflow management software that automates, simplifies, and directs the flow of information electronically across the entire University.
The New Hire Process, for example, will be simplified through electronic triggers that will generate all necessary approvals and notifications, while permitting the initiator to view the ongoing status of the process. The triggers allow business events to happen automatically, speeding completion of tasks while ensuring consistency and accuracy.
Attendees will receive a 90-minute hands-on training session in Banner Workflow. This will include a walk-through of the specific workflow for Employee New Hire Requests from the Background Check Request to electronic access being granted. Users will also be shown how to approve Electronic Access Forms through Workflow for guests without having to submit a paper request.
Upon successful completion of the course, the user will be able to use the Employee New Hire Request workflow the next business day in order to submit background check requests that begin the new hire process.
Prior to registering for this event, all participants must receive I-9 Certification Training given by Deborah Adwokat in The Office of Human Resources Management.
