A 2012-2013 FAFSA IS REQUIRED TO PROCESS ALL 2013 SUMMER STAFFORD LOANS. THE 2012-2013 FAFSA MUST BE FILED BY 7/1/2013.

Summer 2013 Stafford Loan eligibility is determined by subtracting the amount(s) you borrowed during the fall 2012 and/or spring 2013 terms from your annual Stafford Loan eligibility listed below.

To be eligible for an Unsubsidized Loan, you must be:

  • enrolled at least half-time
  • accepted and matriculated in a degree granting program
  • making satisfactory academic progress

You cannot receive Stafford Loan funds until the FAFSA, Master Promissory Not (MPN) and Entrance Counseling have been completed. All borrowers must have a Master Promissory Note (MPN) on file with the Department of Education. Students who borrowed Stafford loans at Fordham since the 2010-2011 academic year do NOT have to complete another MPN or Entrance Interview.

The FAFSA is can be filed at fafsa.ed.gov.

The MPN and Entrance Interview can be completed at studentloans.gov.

You can confirm that Fordham has received your completed MPN and Entrance Interview by clicking on the Documents tab of the Financial Aid section of your my.fordham account.
